2019-04-10T11:34:40+01:00At the online shop of our website, we have some pre-configured Spinbox Kits (for beginners, medium-level and advanced users) that you can directly select and buy if some of these kits fit your needs. Otherwise, you can go to our Configurator (also available in our online shop) and decide the system configuration, adding the parts/modules that you are wanting (so making your own configuration for your Spinbox).
How do I start?
2019-06-05T13:51:32+01:00Spinbox is a plug & play system, so that you just have to connect the Spinbox main module to the power (220/110 Vacc 50/60 Hz) as well as to connect the rest of optional control modules (feeding device, scanning emitter motion, rotating collectors control, etc) to the Spinbox main module. Then you will have to pump the solution that you are about to process to the spinning head, adjust the process parameters (flowrate, voltage, distance emitter-collector...) and start to work. It's so simple!
How should I manage solvent-vapours extraction with Spinbox?
2019-04-10T11:36:15+01:00Solvent vapours extraction (when processing organic solvents) must be provided by the user either placing the Spinbox in a fume-hood or by connecting a hose to the outlet connector placed at the right side of the Spinbox main module and taking the hose outside the lab. The hose is not included within the supply.
What are the dimensions of Spinbox?
2019-04-10T11:37:07+01:00The Spinbox main module is 500 (L) x 550 (D) x 532 (H) mm. The optional control modules are 305 (L) x 170 (D) x 170 (H) mm.
What are the facility requirements to run Spinbox?
2019-04-10T11:37:32+01:00In your lab you need to have power of (1 single-phase; 220/110 Vacc 50/60 Hz). Then you will have to ensure the solvent vapours extraction (when working with organic solvents) either by placing the Spinbox main module in a fume-hood or by connecting a hose to the outlet connector placed at the right side of the Spinbox main module and take the hose outside the lab (the hose is not included within the supply). And that's all. Spinbox is basically a Plug & Play system.
What does Spinbox do?
2019-04-10T11:38:23+01:00Spinbox is a simple, easy and modular electrospinning-electrospraying system. With a basic Spinbox system you can produce either fibers (electrospinning) or particles (electrospraying). Both processes dry and encapsulate in just one single step. The system is formed by the Spinbox main module plus a set of optional control modules (e.g. module for solution feeding, module for automated scanning emitter motion...) upgrading the features and functionalities of the system. Spinbox is a plug & play system, so that you just have to connect the Spinbox main module to the power (220/110 Vacc 50/60 Hz) as well as to connect the rest of optional control modules (feeding device, scanning emitter motion, rotating collectors control, etc) to the Spinbox main module. And that's all!
What does my Spinbox include?
2019-04-10T11:42:30+01:00Pre-configured kits, including different sets of accessories are offered in the web. However, you can create your own configurations taylored to your specifical needs. Spinbox is supplied with power cable. If you intend to work with organic solvents, you will either need to operate your Spinbox within a fume hood, or provide a 50mm ID hose to connect to the exhaust connection on your Spinbox so that solvent vapours can be effectively ventilated.
